Owls are hard to draw, to capture what they are on a 2-dimensional canvas. I've started this and scrapped it dozens of times in the past year, trying to catch this particular moment.
Owls are, by nature, elusive, secretive creatures and that translates perfectly for an artist taking on this subject.
Acclaimed photographer and artist, Bryan H. Smith, is recognized worldwide for his wildlife and landscape photography, sculpture and artwork indicative of his Indigenous heritage and his love of the North American west.
